John F. Mastal
Managing DirectorAs a Managing Director, John Mastal is responsible for directing Fortigent’s business development strategies and developing new relationships with advisors and institutions who service ultra high net worth clients.
John joined Fortigent from Vornado/Charles E. Smith, one of the largest commercial real estate companies in the Washington, DC area, where he was responsible for leasing and financial negotiation of portfolio renewals and leases. Aside from his seven years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, John’s background includes expertise in institutional equity sales and trading, and finance. He was also a Captain in the US Army.
John earned a Bachelor of Arts, double majoring in Economics and Communications, from the University of Richmond in Virginia. He also holds the FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.
