Senior-Level Executives Leave SEI’s Advisor Network and IXIS to Join Fortigent’s Management Team
September 28, 2007
Rockville, MD— Two former SEI executives, Tim Stinson and John Yackel, recently left SEI to join Fortigent, LLC, a provider of wealth management solutions and consulting services for advisors and financial institutions who require a comprehensive outsourcing solution to meet the demands of their ultra high net worth clients. At the same time, former IXIS Asset Management senior vice president Jeffrey Coron left his position to take on the challenge of increasing market awareness of Fortigent’s alternative investment strategies and products.“We are delighted to welcome Tim, John and Jeff to our team,” says Fortigent President & CEO, Andrew Putterman. “With their wealth of industry knowledge and expertise, they are well equipped to help us further define and expand our differentiated market niche in the ultra high net worth advisory arena. In addition, we see our extended presence in the marketplace as an advantage for our existing clients, and look forward to growing our client base to its fullest potential.”
“John and I came to Fortigent because we saw a compelling opportunity to capture an elite segment of the market that wants more control of their investment decisions and business processes than they can currently get from a TAMP,” says Stinson. “Our clients value best thinking, but also require enabling platform solutions that are not proprietary in nature and offer absolute flexibility and accountability.” Plus,” says Yackel, “we are very pleased about the opportunity to shape and grow an organization that is breaking new ground by focusing on an ‘underserved’ new category of wealth managers while, at the same time, has well-established roots in the industry.” Coron concurs, noting that “Fortigent’s capability in alternative investment due diligence and impressive forward thinking on product creation solidified my interest in helping to bring their strategies and products to the forefront.”
Fortigent used the executive recruitment teams of Knightsbridge Advisors (New York, NY) and Kilcullen & Company (Radnor, PA).
